Grace or Coincidence

Updated: Jul 30

Sometimes, God sends us reminders.

Our son started a small candy business and could use some help. Water surprisingly seeped appeared on the candies, and I wanted to wipe the liquid off. Rushing to the other table to get some kitchen towels, I suddenly slipped. My body somehow twisted, and I felt my hip hit the floor before falling on my right wrist. My initial thoughts were, "Jesus, help me please." (I remember that prayer from my sister-in-law who accidentally burnt her face which miraculously healed!) I said those words continuously but still accepting of what God's plan was.

Hubby brought me to Kaiser for diagnostic imaging which showed no fractures! We were so

relieved! Only God knows how deeply grateful I was.

Anti-inflammatory medication and 24/7 cold compress helped me recover in about three days. But what adjustment of habits I needed to make! Just brushing of teeth and flossing were considerably more tedious.

Health is wealth. I pray everyone keeps this in mind.

Lucky? Definitely not! I believe God was telling me to slow down. I have a habit of rushing things, of running even if the situation is not a matter of life or death. Now I know better.

I hope and pray this accident will remind me of this.
